खुद को पीछे छोड़ के, तन्हा आगे बढ़ जाते हैं।
नए मुक़ाम बनाने में साथ पुराने टूटे भी होंगे
नई मंज़िलों को पाने में हाथों से हाथ छूटे भी होंगे॥
फिर एक दिन यूँही भीड़ में ख़ुद को तन्हा भी पाया हैं
शाख़ से बिख़रे पत्तों ने जब यादों में डेरा जमाया है।
नज़रें ढूंढते हैं वो चेहरे जिनसे ज़िन्दगी में रौनक थी
दिल ढूंढता है वो ज़िन्दगी के पल, जीने के लिए जिन्हें गंवाया है!

ख़्वाब सजाये जागती आँखें।
राज़ छुपाये या भेद बताए
इसी उलझन में उलझी आँखें॥
महफ़िल में भी तन्हा था दिल
होंठों में दबाए दिल की बातें।
हँसते लब और रोती ऑंखें
कह गई सारी अनकही बातें॥
