ଚୈତ୍ରର ବାଆ ଆସେ ଅମାନିଆ ହୋଇ
କେହି ତାକୁ ଅଟକାଇ ପାରେ ନାହିଁ,
ଶୁଭ ସକାଳ ଆଉ ସୁସଂଧ୍ୟାର ମୃଦୁ ଗୁଜଂନରେ
ଭରିଦେଇଯାଏ ସେତ ପଲକର ଛବି,
ମୃଦୁ ମଳୟର ସୁ ସୁ ସ୍ୱର ଆଭାସରେ
ଭରିଦେଇଯାଏ ହୃଦ୍ ସ୍ପନ୍ଦନର ଗୀତି
ତା ବିନା ଏକାକୀ ଅଟକି ରହିହେବ ଯେ କେମିତି,
ଅମାନିଆ ମନ ଉଡିଯାଏ ମୋର କାହିଁ କେତେ ଦୂର
ଚଇତାଳିର ଆଗମନରେ,
ଅଟକାଇପାରେ ନାହିଁ ମୋ ମନର ଆବେଗ ଓ କୋହକୁ
ମନର ସ୍ମୃତ୍ତି ରହିଯାଏ କାହାର ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ
ସଂଧ୍ୟାର ଝିଟି ଝିଟି ଅନ୍ଧାରରେ,
ଫେରି ଆସିବାକୁ ହୁଏ ଚାରି କାନ୍ଥର
ଆବଦ୍ଧ ନିର୍ଜନ ଆବାସକୁ
କିନ୍ତୁ ମନ ମୋର ରହିଯାଏ ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ, କାହାର
ଚଇତାଳି ମୄଦୂ ମଳୟର ଆଗମନରେ।।
