It's often when time flies, that one appreciates the charm of the old world. A 5 rupee chai, a breezy ride across the river, a quaint book and that bridge, towering over the horizon. It's not just a talisman of the days gone by! It's an assurance of stability, ever shining, a reminder of home that you come back to again and again!

I watch the splatter of raindrops on my window sill,
the cool breeze, the green trees, and the silence that it brings,
A welcome respite as the heavens bear down around me with all their might
All worries washed away, the burdens suddenly lightened,
The crass cacophony of life silenced, all my troubles gone, maybe, frightened
They remind me of an age gone by,
When battleships rained down those alleyways, and laughter broke the silence of the night, amidst "Hey, Mates!!" and sweet "Ahoys!!", and "Get inside!! Dinner's ready boys!!"
It's been many a moon cycles since, and the rains too will move to the distant past
But for now,
I watch the splatter of raindrops on my window sill and wonder in amazement at a world, oh, ever so still!
