the thing that
happened to us
while we're off

observing the
moon countersigning
the stars, blowing
on dandelions,
and wishing ourselves
into the pages of
our favourite
fairy tales.

I put the entire world on hold just to lose myself in those eyes a lil more. You smiled and asked what happened? "Life" i said.

Our love was my favorite poem, my favorite music and the way it was tangled in a shapeless silence within.

Our heartbeats synced once, our shadows talked.
I know, you felt that too.

And then, she began to breathe,
Breathe the rose tint of dusk,
the orange peach hush of dawn.
Every emotion, every feeling took
her to places where good-byes
were hard to come by.
She fell in love with the
slightest of the things.
The rustling of leaves, the
beauty peaks of cherry blossoms,
The benign sound of rain,
the vibrant colours of wine,
dusty love notes inside the
vintage collection of books,
even with the fleeting nature of life.
And for the first time in a
long while, the confused
letters penned by her
to that close stranger,
turned out to be the
most lucid and inspiring .

I have seen hell and heaven in people
And those places couldn't be ignored.
Sometimes, a hell in others creates one in you.
I wasn't been able to recognize myself lately.
But then, i saw him escorting the brightest
moons and a cluster of stars,
To the darkest of my heart,
Making a celestial city out of it.
