Ganesha, the darling son of Shiva
descends as though paving a path
for His father and His mother
to appear in this mortal world
and bless Their devotees.

louder than the machineries,
chugging out red, blue and white tees.
Or the sharp blade,
cutting through the iron with speed.
The serene music of birds,
the cooing of the babies,
the rustling of green leafy trees
and even
the soft tinkling of tap waters
a hundred times
more preferable
than the metallic din.

I wish all were quiet except the songs
that nature sings.

the pages of a colouring book
not perfect, not beautiful but carefree
and the pictureless books
of complex words, more responsibilities
and little daydreaming.
