Sthambheswar Sea Temple
The Sthambheswar Shiva Shrine, Jambusar, Gujarat is one of the ancient shrines, with a peculiar feature of submerging in the sea waters of the Arabian Sea and reappearing after the waters recede. The shrine is visible and accessible to devotees twice daily. This Swayambhu Linga was established by son of Shiva, Lord Kartikeya.-

THE GREAT SANCHI STUPA
Chandragupta Maurya stands like a beacon among many emperors. He held sway over many regions of India. His son, Asoka built Sanchi Stupa in Madhya Pradesh. Stupa is a dome-shaped structure with mound to bury relics in it. Stupa has a diameter of 60ft and 25ft high. It has a walkway around it at an elevation of 16ft. A 3-tiered stone umbrella is installed on the top of the dome. They symbolize Buddha, Dharma and Sangam.-

Brihadeeswara Temple, Tanjore

Kailasanath Temple, Ellora
The rock-cut temple at Ellora is built by Krishna I. It is one of the largest rock-cut complex in the world. The main shrine of Kailasanath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The basement level of the temple features 12 episodes of childhood leelas of Lord Krishna. The temple consists of Nandi Mandapa and the victory pillar. This is a UNESCO world heritage site located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, 300 kms from Mumbai.-
