Those blurred lights -
Lights of opportunity, lights of dismay
Shining and twinkling
but not letting their secret away

Eyes try to focus,
try to understand what lies far ahead
Ups and Downs they say
are tied with a very thin thread

I sit back and think
and then let all those thoughts go away;
Then realize it is better to stop looking
and put on the spectacles of Today.

That blurred sight
That slippery mind
Yet, That One ray of Hope!

प्यार में उन्हें हासिल करना अगर तेरा मकसद हो गया-
तो प्रेम छोड़ व्यापार के रास्ते में तू खो गया।
उसको पाना प्यार की शर्तों में कभी था ही नहीं
तेरे दिल में कौन ये जीतने का बीज बो गया?

कुछ गिले हैं जो दिल के पर्दों के पीछे छुप गए,
कुछ शिकवे केवल आंखों से बहते नज़र आए;
जब उन्हें शिकायत की एक चिंगारी भी ना दिखी
तो कैसे भला उनसे हम इस दिल का हाल बतलाए!

आज चांद से पूछा एक सवाल
कि कैसा है उनका हाल चाल,
वो आंखों का काजल!
वो मुस्कुराहट बेमिसाल?

चांद ने मचा दिया बवाल
हंसते हुए कहा-
जब साथ था उसके ए पगले
तब नहीं आया ये ख़्याल?
तब नहीं आया ये ख़्याल?

उसकी खुशी के लिए किसी और के दर का जो तूने उसे मुकाम दिया
इसी अदा को तेरी ए दिल, दुनिया ने मोहब्बत का नाम दिया।

With my gaze all jejune

Bunnies and racoons
I played with them,

कांटों के मैदान में वो ज़ख्मी पैरों को लिए आए थे,
सोचा दर्द को दर्द काट देगा।
और जब गुलाब की चादर पर सुकून मिल गया तो समझे-
अच्छाई की नम्रता का बुराई के गुरूर से हमेशा पलड़ा भारी रहेगा|
