"How much do you love her?"
If the Devil took her away,
I would burn down hell to bring her back.
But if she chose to leave,
I would let her go in a heartbeat.-
Whatever has come undone inside you,
I will sew it back together thread by thread.
Even if it takes a lifetime,
I promise I will never give up.-
Love in my life was much like
the bright, wild blooms.
Once spring was over, it wilted,
lost its fragrance
and fell off as dusty feet trampled on it.
But I believe flowers always grow again.
Don't they?-
He once left her like a word dropped from a long sentence.
But now she is his whole story.
-
You became my hearth
when the world was an iceberg
But I set you ablaze
Now you've returned to see me burn
And burn I will
Until the flame in you is quenched
Until I warm your frozen heart
Then I'll let the fire ravage my soul
And I'll fly into the air as ashes-
I can't purge you
I can't hate you
I can't leave you
I can't be without you
But I can't love you
And yet, it is you I cannot sacrifice
-
I fell in love with a story
It had verses written all over it
I fell in love with a story
It was a poem in itself
I fell in love with a story
It had a meter, rhyme and rhythm
I fell in love with a story
It was art
I fell in love with a woman
She was both poetry and prose-
When you've spent years walking alone,
You start doubting
If you really deserve the love you wish for,
If you're meant to be the only star in someone else's universe,
If you will be worthy enough to find magic,
If your hopes are just fallen petals to be trampled upon.
When you've spent years being numb and empty
You accept loneliness as your only friend.
Even if you hate it, you're scared to trust anyone else
With your tears,
With your vulnerability,
With your insecurities
With your silence
With your smile
You fear losing your only armour-
the ability to fake strength.
You fear getting too close to the monster called happiness
Because you know it will suck you dry.
You get so used to the darkness around you
that you fear the light will strip you naked.
You fear baring your soul to betrayal for you know
it will lure your heart and crush it like a glass statue.
When you've spent years trying to fix your wings,
You fear someone will burn or chop them off
before you've managed to take the first flight.-
