Such an amazing wrap up of the Phase 2 (June 11-20) of the June Calendar Run Challenge, running over 155kms (168kms to be precise, ran 13kms extra today) to kickoff the next and the final Phase 3 (June 21-30) to cover 255Kms.
Today, I clocked 33kms in total by running a Half Marathon (22kms to be precise) in morning from 10:30am and followed by 11kms in evening at 6pm. Another thing to note, I ran 45kms (12+22+11) in 24 hours from 7pm yesterday until 7pm today.

June 30:
Super happy to successfully complete the June Calendar Run Challenge on June 30. I ran 30kms on June 29, followed by a 25kms run on June 30, wrapping up the Phase 3 (June 21-30) by covering 256kms ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ and running a total distance of 466kms from 1-30 June. During this period, I completed many Half Marathons, couple of 30Km runs, a Full Marathon, an UltraMarathon of 52kms, and my first ever Half Marathon inside the Airport.
With this challenge, not just I have found a new passion for long distance running but learned so much about myself and what I can possibly achieve when I decide to do something despite all the challenges that may come on the way. If there is a will, there is a way. This challenge taught me to handle everyday as it comes.
June 30: 25kms : Avg. 5'19"
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-30June: 466kms โ

June 29: 1st run in Jeju South Korea๐ฐ๐ท
Another incredible day, this visit to ๐ฐ๐ท is so much more eventful that I can't even keep up with my own stories.๐
The only option I was left with to run was from 10:30pm today and it's not some 10K run, I have to run 29km/30km today. Started around 10:30pm, and continued running till 1:20am KST next day (June 30) and completed 30kms. It was painful but I enjoyed the run alone so much in the beautiful resort near the coastline, watching Moon and listening to waves - it was simply amazing. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I'll be able to run today at all looking at the packed day but you know mind doesn't let you settle unless you do what you've set out to achieve.
June 29: 30kms : Avg. 5'28" : 2h50m
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-29June: 441kms โ
Still 24kms left to meet the goal of 465kms by June 30. ๐

June 28:
No running, only flying and now quarantining.
Firstly, thank you for your love, support and encouragement on the previous post of Airport Half Marathon. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คโค๏ธ
After a long transit flight in Doha Qatar, I arrived in Incheon/ Seoul, South Korea tonight. Most of the day was spent in flying, in the plane, in the airport, and managing all the logistics of traveling in the times of pandemic, following health and safety protocols and new normal guidelines of travels and stay in a new country.
Anyways, no change in the Calendar Run Challenge status from yesterday.
June 28: No run.
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-28June: 411kms โ
Still 54kms left for next 2 days, 29-30June ๐
I've to run avg. 27kms for next 2 days to meet the goal of 465kms by June 30.๐

June 26:
Such an incredible day of running my first Ultra Marathon (52kms) today.
First 30kms were ran under the sun, extremely hot and the rest 22kms was a barefoot run under the little shade. I can't describe the today's running experience in one post here, it was many firsts for me and was another huge challenge just to be able to push myself to do realise something like this.
If yeaterday was PAINFUL, today was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY PAINFUL. But it was my first ULTRA MARATHON and the JOY of achieving something and finding your own Everest by overcoming these challenges on a daily basis is something different. It helps embrace the pain and I'm enjoying it.
Anyways, it brings my Calendar Run Challenge status to:
June 26: 52kms : Avg. 5'40"
Total ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ today for 4h50m (290mins)
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-26June: 390kms โ
Still 75kms left for 27-30June ๐
I've to run avg. 19kms for next 4 days to meet the goal of 465kms by June 30.๐

June 25:
It was PAINFUL. It HURTS. Running over 20-30kms EVERYDAY for 10days actually hurts. ๐๐ Today, I ran 30kms in one go, it was very painful, that it felt like I'm actually jogging instead of running. I actually ran very slowly ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ putting one step ahead and just kept on going.
Read WHY in the Caption in why I ran 30kms instead of 25kms?
June 25 : 30kms : Avg. 5'30"
Total ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ today for 2h45m (165mins)
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-25June: 338kms โ
Still 127kms left for 26-30June ๐
I've to run avg. 25kms for next 5 days
to meet the goal of 465kms by June 30.๐-
June 24:
One running lesson is very clear to me, before getting on the ground it looks extremely difficult if I can barely run 1km after having long distance run everyday. But with day-by-day, I've noticed that I can do that everyday, and the only way to make that happen is to move out of the comfort zone, embrace the pain, tie up the shoe laces, just put your foot down to take the first step on the ground. Start running. There is no other way, so better buckle up and get into action mode. ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
That being said, updates from today and how is it going so far.
June 24 : 30kms (15k+15k) : Avg. 5'18"
Total ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ today for 2h40m (160mins)
Total Calendar ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ 1-24June: 308kms โ
Still 157kms left for 25-30June ๐
I've to run 26kms on an avg. for next 6 days.๐
