In the hall of learning, where mind ignite,
Student chase dreams with all their might.
Dreams and hopes, aspirations high,
But soon they find, the world's a sky.

With degrees in hand,they venture out,
Into a realm, rife with doubt.
Jobs are scarce, competition fierce,
Each application met with a pierce.

Resumes polished, they dress for the fight,
Facing rejection, day and night.
Interviews come, but few doors open wide,
Yet still they strive, with hope as their guide.

Weeks turns to months and years may pass.
Yet in their hearts, a flame held fast.
Bills pile high, and loans weight heavy,
But they press on, their resolve unsteady.

But in the heart of every student bold,
Resides a fire that cannot be sold.
With presistance and grit, they persevere
Their dreams alive, despite the fear.

Within the struggle, their strength take flight,
Propelling them forward, through the darkest night.
For in their journey, amidst the strife,
They'l forge their path claiming their life
For within the struggle, they'll come to see
Their dreams fulfilled, unbound and free.

Sitting alone, unseen and unheard,
My silent cries go unnoticed,
Invisible to those nearby,
My heart heavy with neglect,
Ignored, forgotten, I slowly fade away.

What is it like to be the eldest daughter?
It's a world of gift and curses....

It's taking responsibility that aren't yours
It's receiving blame that doesn't belong to you ....

Trauma that isn't yours
Pain and suffering and frustration and anger none of it yours.....

Emotionless, tough, sacrifice.....

To be an eldest daughter
Is to be given the weight of world
And excepted to treat it like a feather......

"Who I am ?"

I am a patchwork of memories
from the places I've traveled,
the people I've cherished
and the experience that have shaped me,
andthe moments that have
left a mark on me.
Music, dance, quotes,adventure,
Late night talk, moonlit nights
and the aroma of coffee
have been woven together
to form the essence of my being....

3 am nightmares
giving me an anxiety
But it's okay to cause
at least my dreams have variety
I'll play it off
I'll play it cool
Walking around fine
in the hallway of college
But boy am I scared of
if God ever dare to talk to you
Away from me too
I'd fall apart again
and l'm not sure i can be broken
Another time around
While staying the same girl
In the same small town.....

"Picture"

Often, I picture us
holding hands watching stars at night
sitting on bench on roof top.
Hearing your laugh throughout then day
and catching you smile.
When you think I don't see
and all I can do is hope
that when you close your eyes
your mind is filled
with thoughts me....

I hear footsteps, glimpse a shadow,
I feel your breath near me.
But, where are you ?
I hear a whisper, trace your voice,
I feel your touch upon me.
But, where are you ?
Is this real or am i dreaming ?
Your presence is everywhere around me,
Are these just memories
of a past that we shared.
I feel you in my heart.
But, where are you ?

" Waiting for him "
I sit alone in darkness
Waiting.....
Waiting for him to come back to me.
Can he hear my cries ?
Can he feel my tears ?
Can he sense my breaking heart ?
How can this be that he can't see me ?
Is it because I'm sitting alone in the darkness?
I just walk past everyone as
if I were invisible.
Can he see me now ?
Can he see the pain he's caused me ?
Or dose he look past it ?
I think I should move on,
But something tells me to wait.
It's my heart.
I'll give him one more chance,
He needs to prove his love to me.
As I return to sit alone in the darkness.

How fortunate we are
