Nine Novembers later,
We'll meet again
And laugh over how different our lives turned out to be!
I'd wish if I could've been brave enough
To say the things I was too afraid to say
And to feel the things I was afraid to feel!
Nine Novembers later,
I'll pretend to have forgotten
How your lips form creases when you smile,
How those soulful eyes squint when you talk
And the mole by your left chin.
Nine Novembers later,
You'll know that all my poetry was about you!!

I read it with maddening hunger.
The bits , the pieces,
The scribbles, the proses.
I've read it enough to get it whittled deep inside ;
That I can rerun it without thought like a ten year old for his recital.
I think of all the thoughts that must have taken over you
that it dribbled into subtle, sometimes poignant poetry.
I'm not certain if you know it yet.
You're much of a muse yourself.
Do you know that I live by your words?
Do you know that it is spring to my heart?

The warmth of your palm,
The depth of those eyes.
I'm guilty of holding you captive!
That's the thing with subtle hearts..
You never know what's etched on them!!

Ever got reminded of someone
when you think of a word??

You're 'poetry' for me;
An obsessively inked,
soulful piece of art!

These yellowed pages...
They have much soul in them!
From being keenly admired to nearly forgotten..
And lugged into that less visited corner!
Hoping that someday,
someone would visit again,
Run fingers across them and find them breathing
Caress them and carry them in their hearts!
And what do you think makes us different from them?!!

You are this hazy silhouette,
An unattempted,
Bizarrely beautiful verse!
Inked in the heart
Carved in the soul

I deliberately tried to preserve you inside my subtle poem;
Little did i know,
You were the indefinite story that lingered on,
Till the ink and blood had drained out!

I've got more of you in me..
It's obscure; how the pieces have blended in..
The ones I've been owning all this while!
Was it really you?!

And then i hold on to your palm,
The warmth of souls tightly knit..
Lost in the moment, carried away by love!

And in the end,
we're just emotional beings,
messed up by the idea of how things
are supposed to be ;
Desperately trying to blend in,
To be heard, to be cared for,
Then you have this tint of 'you' in you,
The one with the concealed details,
The one with the goofy air around,
The one that loses its soul to tracks
of old music,
The one that demands you!!
Feed it, live and let off the hook!
