और उस दिन के बाद
मैंने मुस्कुराना शुरू कर दिया
जिंदगी के गमों को पीछे रख
खुद से छुपाना शुरू कर दिया
मेहफिल में खुशी की झलकियां
बाद उसके खुद में जीना शुरू कर दिया
लोगों ने कहा तुम अलग हो सबसे
हां! मैंने मुस्कुराना शुरू कर दिया...!

उसने कहा मुझे कि रब अच्छा है
पर तोॾडे नाल गल हो गई, अब सब अच्छा है
वैसे तो हाल अपना अच्छा नहीं है
उसने गर पुछ लिया तो मानो सब अच्छा है
लहज़ा उसका गज़ब अच्छा है,
इतना तो है महसूस किया हमने
क़ुबूल हो सारी ज़माने कि दुआएं उसकी
अपनी ये उम्मीद है तो यहां सब अच्छा है...!

ना जाने कोई कि हमारा क्या हुआ
कुछ वक्त कि खामोशियां मिली, परेशान रहा
आगे बढ़ा पर एक कमी रही, यादें रही
ना मिला इश्क हमें भी मुर्शीद फिर क्या हुआ
सब्र, इम्तिहान, सुकून की खोज में
सफ़र जिंदगी का थम सा गया, दुनिया के शोर में
ना जाने कोई कि हमारा क्या हुआ
मुकद्दर हासिल ना हुआ अबतक कामयाबी की दौड़ में...!
