Shiva in his usual outlook
has a serpent around his blue neck,
Crescent moon on his head
and the third eye on his forehead,
Body drenched in ash
and hair matted and messy,
holding his fierce weapon Trishula.
In this unconventional attire,
he is still loved and worshipped for his Art,
Meditation, Yoga and the energy he emits,
teaching us to accept everything as it is,
without any hostility or discrimination
against what is perceived to be different
or against the conventions.
Inner value should override the external outlook.-
