Maa - part one

I opened my eyes and saw ur face..
Can hardly get over that heavenly gaze

As i smiled blinking at you and cold tears rolled down ur eyes..
I tried holding ur fingers firmly after million no. of tries

You made me to stand and taught me to run..
You were beside me sharing my sadness, success and moments of fun

You stood like a solid rock when winds of adversities hit me hard..
U are my friend, my teacher and all my life’s significant parts

U treated me like a prince even when money flourished was less..
U smiled at me with a comforting tap on my shoulder whenever I questioned ‘is our life a mess?’

U passed the last bread several times to my side saying that u were done..
I knew u did all the work single-handedly and had hardly eaten

U worked diligently even at your workplace and never got bored..
Even after a hectic day at work, you would smile and finish all the household chores

But my heart broke into pieces when i saw u crying for the first time..
How can someone so hard rock solid stop for a second and forget to smile

Now i stand like a pillar and bolster your crumbled feet..
When you are with me success is all i have and there is no defeat
