A Man
Broad shoulders
Head heald up high,
Twirling moustache
But, whenever someone asks us
How are you?
Are you okay?
You look sad?
We just laugh it off
We are man
We don't take these questions seriously.— % &But we do feel pain
Even men cry when they are sad
It's just hard for us to express.
Even since we were young
And that boys don't cry .
We don't have the time
To share our sorrows.
And that one who share
Isn't man enough.— % &So it's decided.
That we won't say a thing
Be it a problem,
Some pain...
We'll tolerate everything.
But we did cry as kids,
Every time we got hurt.
When our favourite toy broke
We found comfort in our mother's lap.— % &Then why to hide these tears today?
Why to keep your emotions locked inside?
Let's come out of the shadows
Of hollow title like Stud or Macho
Even our heart aches,
We got to open up to someone
Mental health issues
And depression are not gender agnostic
No one cries without resion
So from now on,
We'll cry if we feel like
We'll share when it aches.— % &
