Have you ever noticed how money has become such a huge thing in recent times? It has become more than what it meant to be, even when you make enough to live a happy and healthy life, you’re not satisfied or content. Actually, everyone I see is dissatisfied; there’s this void that we are all trying to fill with material. We are buying things we don’t need, things that lay in your room, stuffs your wardrobe, things that we don’t even look at after a week, we are trying to buy our way to happiness. It’s because of this illusion created by advertisements via social media, TV, magazines etc. The whole day all we see is people living awesome lives and we not being able to do the same. We’re seeing influencers in jet planes, partying in chic clubs, wearing heavenly looking clothes, holidaying in Maldives, joking and laughing and sharing stories. But is that all real? It’s not, it’s an illusion, it’s there to make you feel bad about yourself and there’s that void created, so that we go shopping again. It’s killing relationships, families, cultures, and us. We end up not appreciating what we have, not acknowledging people who’ve been there, we become what we aren’t.
