Why does the ocean start where it starts and end where it ends?

I see that you waited
You waited enough.
You waited until I wilted away
To sprinkle some drops of water at my dying roots.

Woke up from a dream,
Reminiscing,
Remembering the additions you gave
To the poem I read to you.

Added the pauses,
And the anaphora,
Made up a decent piece
Only to read it out loud to you.

Life comes a full circle
From wanting to die because you understand nothing to actually dying because you understood everything.

As I felt the darkness creeping
In this unfathomable room,
I ran towards the door
Only to find it clicking,
In the wrong direction.

From the corner of my eyes,
I saw you
Smiling, smirking
As you closed the doors to
The cage you built for me.

I saw you
Warming up, rubbing your hands
To the fire
That you created in my
Agonized heart.

From the corner of my eyes,
I saw you,
Smiling, smirking
Laughing,
Evil laughing.

If you do not know what is normal,
how are you supposed to fight against what is abnormal?

If it doesn't madden you, it isn't enough.

For the fear of burning in fire,
I drown in the ocean,
To disappear again.
But I find myself being pulled
Back to land
To face fire again.
