You fear going blind,
but if you did,
you could read in Braille
the poems
goosebumps write on my skin,
when it touches yours.

No more escape attempts,
I'm tired of failing.
Every time I'd try,
the demons would find me
and tear me to shreds.
So I just sit quietly in my prison cell,
and watch the sunlight move
across the dusty floor.
The demons sit still now, like statues.
My quietness, it seems,
has put them to sleep.
Finally, there's a moment of calm to enjoy,
but I don't know how to enjoy anymore.
Perhaps I never did.

Unrequited love is like cigarette addiction.
You know it'll kill you one day
But you keep at it cause it's not today

In case you've ever wondered:
the day you laughed heartily
and wondered
when you'll laugh again like that
was the day
you stopped being a child.

your love is dead,
isn't the day it died.

Fucking poets.

They've dignified tears to a novelty,
only to be spent on great tragedies.

So every time it feels
like it's the end of the world,
instead of opening the gates,
and letting the tears run a marathon
down your face,
you act brave and soldier on,
believing you've walked away unscathed.

Stolen glances
crooked smiles
hand in hand
a thousand miles

Seeking union
against the signs
like two hopeless
parallel lines
