Some days you never want to close your eyes
Some nights you never want to get up

Tonight’s that night

Or hide behind the curtain of perception?

There used to be roses in my garden when you were around
There were birds in the skies flying from trees across their nests when you were around
The sun used to squeeze my eyes enough to make me smile when you were around
The skies would shower their love so you could embrace me when you were around
Today, I stand alone and only wish you were always around!

Have you stopped yourself short
From doing something, from going somewhere
From being a part, or being apart
Have you stopped yourself short
Of discovering yourself?
Go on and express your real self out
Be the person you have always been
Real, authentic, complete
Be You!

Do you fear death?
Not mine!
Then?
Of my dear ones of course
Why?
Don’t have the heart to live without them
But that’s the circle of life. How will you cope?
I wish I never have to…my love for them is stronger!

By looking into someone’s eyes
Can you see the past lives you’ve lived together
Or the future that you are meant to be in?

By looking into someone’s eyes
Can you love with all your heart and soul
Enough to engulf them and never grow apart?

By looking into someone’s eyes
Can you listen to the promises that were shared
And the steps of the journey you are bound to take?

When my every heartbeat tunes into yours
And time is the only difference between us
Our eyes search for each others depths
Only to find reservoirs of our love that has been and will always be!

The Cusp of Everything

When you’re falling but all you can see are peaks around you
When you’re just about to get started and the lights go out
When you’re gutted to the core and a slip of mistake takes you far behind
When everything’s happening all at the same time and you can’t breathe

Remember, that in these times you’re at the cusp of something great
Your balance is the only thing that will win you through
You are getting ready to reach the pinnacle through these avalanches
Don’t hold back, don’t sit tight, instead be raring and roaring to forge ahead!
You are at the cusp of everything, you are only just getting started!

The only cure
To all our ailments

We write poetry to express everything that’s hidden
Within us and for us, from a world we don’t understand

We write to forget and be forgotten
Of lost loves and times that hide our inner joy

We keep our poems close to us and some display
Through another expression, another person

What remains is the need to be loved, appreciated
Made to feel one, where our words disappear
And only the truth remains,

With everything lost, yet again
Even the skin peeling off, yet again
The need to begin again seems worthless
The silver linings feel far fetched, yet again

But the sunrise, it breaks all moulds, all shackles
It pierces through those dark ebbs I can’t even see
And the only thought that lingers is ‘Don’t Write Me Off’
Yet Again!
