In that short life they had no room for worries

കെട്ടു പൊട്ടിയ പട്ടത്തിനു പുറകെ പോയ കുട്ടി
അവൻ കെട്ടിപിണർന്നു കിടന്നിരുന്ന വേരുകൾക്കിടയിൽ കാൽ തട്ടി വീണു
കണ്ണു തുടച്ചു എഴുന്നേൽക്കുമ്പോഴും
അവന്റെ കണ്ണു പട്ടത്തിൽ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു

പിറ്റേന്ന് അവൻ വീണ്ടും വന്നു സ്വന്തം പട്ടം മാത്രം അവശേഷിപ്പിച്ചു അവൻ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്തു
അവൻ പലതും പഠിച്ചു പട്ടം പറത്താനും വേരിൽ തട്ടി വീഴാതിരിക്കാനും

കാലങ്ങളായി പലതും കണ്ടുപോന്നിരുന്ന മുത്തശ്ശിക്കണ്ണുകൾക്കു ഈ കാഴ്ചയും ഒരത്ഭുതമല്ലായിരുന്നു

എന്നിലെപ്പോഴും എനിക്കുപോലും മനസിലാകാത്ത ഒരു ഞാൻ ഉണ്ട്.ഒരു കൊച്ചു കുട്ടിയെപ്പോലെ കരയുകയും ചിരിക്കുകയും കിട്ടില്ല എന്നറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും പലതും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഞാൻ .ബുദ്ധിക്കു കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്താൻ പറ്റാത്ത മനസിന്റെ ഏതോ ഒരു കോണിൽ ഒരു കൊച്ചു കുട്ടിയെ പോലെ അവൾ ഒളിച്ചിരിപ്പുണ്ട് .ഇടയ്ക്കിടക്ക് എത്തിനോക്കുന്ന ഒരു അതിഥിയായി അവൾ എന്നും എന്നിലുണ്ടാകും

There she was immersed in her dreams ,for her sky was only a beginning ,the lovely golden cage was her only restriction
She begged the cage to set her free,she promised him she would come back .All she wanted was to fly atleast for once & that never happened
Years passed
She grew old & her cage too lost his lock .The bird lost her sight & her dreams faded .He left his door open for her but never told her .She lived the rest of her life in her cage of illusions...
