It's not about the length of years , tides and romance you both shared together. If God says you can't be together, then you can't ever end up together. It could be risky to force things out of emotions or bond. It's quite so painful and unthinkable to leave the one you both journeyed for ages, but it's better to act strong and move on because your being together could render the latter disastrous.
God is (Meta ) in nature. He sees far beyond physical and spiritual, your thoughts and manner of reasoning can never ever outsmart God plans for your life because he is the one and only master planner.

We all feel very bitter when our wishes and desires haven't fallen in place but then it's really quite ungrateful to think God has forsaken you.
That thought may be prior to the fact that you measure/judge your life by the progress and achievements of others because it's their time .
Don't let the progress and achievement of other's affect you in anyway, feel happy , don't live in regrets, don't ever be discourage about your current state or whatever situation you presently find yourself, it's their time , the next moment could be yours.

In life if you put your mind to it anything is achievable. How come you survived those challenges you never thought you could ever survive , how come you are able to achieve those things that proved so difficult, so when you put your mind to it , you will achieve it.
