Clauses
My girl had a clause,
And another and another,
And one more to make it
God knows how many.

Funny! I'd no money,
But my honey,
She tamed me,
And now I don't ask any.

She rejected me abusing
Hence I weep for the cuss musing.
She, the player, and I, the dancer;
Dancing to her tunes has been my only answer.

Once a free bird, I desired heights,
But my loving master curbed the flights.
She caged me with her clauses of care,
And I had my freedom in words to spare.

They say they always say
How much will you listen?
They don't care they don't
You know, one day you also won't.

Ye khamoshi kaisi hai?
Ye behoshi kaisi hai?
Wo aaye hai dhadko na
Ye murda dili kaisi hai?
Aankhein to aaj unki hai ashkbaar
Phir tmhari aaj kyu sukhi hai?

Tell me some more lies
I wanna be all smiles.
Sell me some false hope,
For I need the end of the rope.
I couldn't sleep last night,
Therefore, give me that flicker of light.

Vague and vile,
The weather smiles,
And I couldn't smile back,
As vague and vile,
The inner me dies.
The children play,
The sparrows chirp,
And the sun shines.
But the vague and vile
I could barely peek outside.

I met a beautiful person
Who is not what I thought
He would be like.
He is mild, not rude.
Lively, not blued.
Negotiable, not shrewd.
Noble, not crude.
And you know what?
It's me, not you!

Covid-19: A Historical Perspective

The pandemic wrecking havoc in 2020AD, it seems, took homo sapiens back to their primitive days. The men used to stay in their caves for days on end, protecting themselves from foul weather, epidemics & wild beasts. However, the man used to sneak out of his shelter, on certain occasions, to hunt and gather food, and sometimes was himself hunted by death.
It is certainly a horrifying yet thrilling anecdote of mankind, echoing as we live now. Oo humans of today, must learn from your forefathers, the art of survival, or perish for good.

Knowing

You think you know,
You strive to know,
You long to know,
And now you know
That you don't know;
You will never know.
And that's all you know.

Getting up at day-break
Looking far and wide into the horizon
Feeling the chills
Together with a cup of coffee.

Another long night,
It has always been one
When I long for that hand
Resting on my shoulder,
The long lost care,
That hug, the usual stare,
Tit bits you need
For a good nightly slumber.
