जब जब दिल रोता है तो नानी क्यों याद आती है..
जब कुछ खोता है तो मां की तस्वीर मन में अचानक कौंध जाती है..
जब नहीं कोई रास्ता सूझता तो लगता है मानो दादी दूर खड़ी मुस्कुराती है...
जब जब हारा हुआ महसूस करती हूं..
तो कैसे वो तीनो मेरी ताकत बन जाती है ...
हमारे साथ हमेशा वो शक्ति के रूप में चलती जाती हैं..
मां तो मां है सदियों सदियों साथ निभाती है ..

आज फिर उम्मीद टूटी है..
आज फिर ख्वाबों का शहर उजड़ा है...
आंखे बह रही हैं बिना थमे..
पर फिर भी दिल भरा भरा है...
निगाहें ढूंढती हैं उसको ...
जिसने रूह को यूं कत्ल करा है ...

Some days remind you of trauma and pains...
You feel like you are drowning in that fear again...
Constantly reminding yourself to keep breathing and not break ...
It will not always be the same ...
You have fought and came out of that war ...
Though the stitches and the bruises remain...
You are healing and though the scars will always be there ...
But You are stronger than ever and your will power will win in the end ...

जैसे श्री राम ने अयोध्या आकर उज्वल कर दिया ...
वैसे ही प्रभू से प्राथना है की ..
आपके जीवन के हर अंधियारे को मिटाने ...
वो ऐसे ही दीपावली ले कर आए ...

उन भूली बिसरी यादें में...
वो गर्मी है जो सूरज से तपते दिन में नहीं ...
वो अपनापन है जो लोगों के शोर में नहीं ....
वो मैं हूं जो किसी और में नहीं ...
तन्हा सी इन रातों में ...
इस दर्द में जो सुकून है ...
इन पतंगों में जो जुनून है ...
इस चांद में जो नूर है ...
और चांदनी में जो सुरूर है ...
वो किसी भोर में नहीं ...
वो मैं हूं जो किसी और में नहीं...

एक शाम थी जो तेरे बिना गुजरती नही थी ...
एक उमर है जो तेरे बिना काटी है ...
जिस तालुक को लेके हम हालात ए इज़ाफी थे...
उसकी तस्वीरें तुमने हर रोज गैरों में बांटी है...
गिला कर के सुकून हासिल होता नहीं...
बस यही सोच कर आंखों का दरिया बाकी है ..
हाथ थाम लोगे एक दिन तो आकर तुम ...
इस उम्मीद में ही रूह से रुकने की मिन्नत मांगी है...।

Did we really meet...
Or was it just a dream ...
Like the one I have every night ...
We sat close by...
Hand in-hand I think ...
It is all blurred ... It must have been in sleep ..
I put my head on your shoulder...
You put your arms around me ...
I looked up and we kissed ...
It surely was not reality ...
Our eyes kept talking and so did our fingers ...
Tracing all the wrinkles of time on each other's hands ...
It was so surreal as if my imagination..
And then you looked at the watch ...
Gave me a hug and kissed good bye ...
I woke up with a pounding heartache...
It must have been a dream ...
But then why are there tears in my eyes ...

सुख चले या दुख चले ...
चले दिन या रात ...
सूर्य चले या चले ये चंदा ...
सब चलें मुसाफिर साथ ...
पर चले जब प्रेम हाथ पकड़ के ...
तो थम जाए सब बात ...
और उसके बिन जब चले मुसाफिर ..
तो बस चले बिरहा के साथ ...

Footprints on the sand ...
They stay there till next wave of existence washes over them ....
Then they become part of the eternal ocean of life ....
Stories of love ,loss and dreams ....
They can be heard centuries later ....
In the whispers of wind ...
Their coarseness can be felt in the sand of the shores ..
And their fragrance can be smelled in the flower fields....
We leave behind stories
entangled with life forever...
