The Summer of a lifetime

Little stones richocheting in
The serene flowing mirror.
The occasional flight of
a fish, distorting me
With Thousand wrinkles.

A boat long dead,
Thousand creaks here and there.
Million little dusts scattered
Across the floor.
A forgotten tree dying on the shore.
My eyes devoured all.

Wet clothes with salty white patches,
Burning skin and tiring soul.
I stood straight and stared at the
Big bull of brightness.
Then baring all,
I jumped into the mirror
Shattering my image into
Thousand little pieces.

I will wade and wade
Until the Summer is over.
I will wait for the winter,
To freeze me in my image.

The First Cry
Foot tapping, sweat falling, hands shaking, I stood before the green room.
A nurse came out holding the baby with tiny feet and angelic face, and as I screamed "it's a girl", the baby turned then cried loudly, her lungs ruptured and she died.
I saw in her dead eyes, reflections of several men with lusty lips holding plant saplings.

The Feast

The war ended. Orphan children
finally united with their dead parents, rotting familial flesh became their appetite.

The Great Indian Trick

Rising fumes
Slowly vanishing into the dusty air.
A White haze covering
The tar strewn walls.
There stands a figure,
White saree with black blotches,
Diamond like watery eyes that
Shine myriad colours,
A shadow with cowering hips and choking lungs.
Came a deep cruel cry penetrating
The walls from the room across
"Where is the FOOD?"
"Just a second!"
She swiftly went near the stove
Cut her fingers, flavouring it
With her tender salt tears,
Made a soup and fed her family.
Days skewered her, years mutilated her.
Soon her eyes, bones and flesh
Went the way of her fingers.
"Where is the God-damn food?" The usual shrill came.
So the charcoal fumes welcomed her as
She slowly leapt into the
Hot boiling pot, stewing what was left of her.
Later the family came and fed themselves.
Finally realising she was no more, they mourned for the lost cook.
The cook that vanished into the kitchen smoke.

Journey to the centre of the Earth

Down the hill I go,
Squeezing through the cracks
Looking at the tracks
Where many a trolley go.
Five years was I
When I first went
Into the burning womb
Of my mother.
Naked men there,
Naked women here,
Naked flame everywhere.
Round my stomach
Tightened the chain
Like the embrace
Of a lover clad in black.
Many a load
Did I carry
Until one day
I fell into the trolley dead .
Buried among the thousand coals.
A Black Face vanished among the blackness.
The naked men
Blinded by darkness
Left their incessant striking
And with their pick axes
Dug me a grave and buried me there alongside Tom, Lucy
And those yet to come!

The Secret of the Walls

The cement walled room,
With dull paint all around.
A lonely bed lie aside
In the corner unmoved.
Two bodies, young and wild.
With adrenaline rushing, heart racing
And pupils melting.
They embraced, skin kissing skin.
Barriers breaking,Passions arising.
His voice echoed through her,
It moved down and down.
Like a river crisscrossing through her soul.
His touch thrilled her.
It sailed down and down.
Crisscrossing through her nipples and navel.
Their silent pants reverberating through
The air like beautiful tunes.
Their movements, sweet and slow
Were like dandelions floating in the air.
Finally, they joined in body and soul.
His movements echoed her breaths
Her breaths echoed their love.

In the end their tired bodies lay dead
intertwined in an eternal embrace,
Poisoned by the storm brewing outside.
The silent walls held the secret to their union.

The Shadow

The orange embers of a dying light
Scattered across an empty road.
The scarlet flowers withered,
Were scattered across the lonely pavement.

A silhouette of a shadow
Walking under those blinking lights.
A sleepless man being eaten
by the darkness.

A ferocious howl here and a terrifying bite there.
There in the corner,
a pair of dogs mating violently
Disturbing the stillness of the night.

On a stone bench far right,
Slept two birds.
Their bodies close,
Warming the night.

The radiant light of the moon
Sifting through the trees
Hitting the dark tar floor,
Woke up the shadow
Of a long lost man.
The shadow that woke walked,
joining with those silhouette of shadows
Walking under the blinking lights.
Those men who lost their shadows wept and wept, scared of the lights, they slept in darkness while their shadows roamed free.

What was that sound?

The greyish mountain top shined,
Bouncing off the florescent photons
Baked by those sleepless apartment floors.
The foggy cold night sky
Chilled by the wrongs of the day
Stood witness to the wrongs of the night.
I stood at top this rock monstrosity
And listened to the wind singing.
"Shhhhhhhh shhhhhhh"
What was it that I heard?
Did my frozen ears
Heard unheard noises
Or was it voices?
Whose voices were it?
Is it theirs or is it mine?
Is it those of the sleepless city dwellers?
Are they arguing or making love?
Are those cries, cries of desire or pain?
I know not!
Are those dark green patches
Creaking down below?
Or is it those of the wild beasts' dying?
I know not!
"Sshhh shhhh", I heard that dreadful noise again, what was it?
Oh! It was nothing but me breathing?

The Plea of a Dark Being

Dark and black,
Tanned by heat,
Fuelled by light.

In the days of
Thunder and shower.
In the nights of
Hunger and slumber.

You stayed with me
Though not always visible
I knew you were near
I knew you were close.

Oh! My Shadow
You are my impression.
You are my interpretation.
You interpret me in the
Colours of the world.

Yet I hate that you are me
and I am you.
An eternal Slave of a Slave
A dark being controlled by a darker being.
Forged in a world of blinding heat and light.
Therefore I run to the Dark!

Wake me up, Mother!

Wake me up!
For I am sleeping
On your lap.
Unaware and uncaring
About the trouble
I am causing you.

I know you love me.
If not, why would you
Take my toxic droolings
On your lap,which
Soaks and destroys
That green and blue
Saree of yours.

Wake me up!
For i am your son
And I realise
You love me too much, but
Wake me up!
Before I am late,
Before my toxic droolings
Burn your thighs and
Destroys your womb.

Wake me up, mother!
Slap me if you want
But wake me!
Before I make you impotent.
Before I kill you
In my sleep!
