The Smiling Bruises

Our mouths smile with tearful eyes,
Our faces giggle in bowls of sadness.
Our mind wars with the bitter and sweet.

With the loudest screams,
No one hears the silence of our voice.
Our cords wear out in pains.
Yet, others are audibly deaf to us.
It is the unspoken pains that
Speak painfully the most.

Only if the oceans of our cries
Can be tempered by a gentle calm.
But, the ‘Sailors’ are the tempest of us.
Only if others can see 'true' the gentle rage.

It is not a process, if there is no chain of training or changes involved. Don't mistake mere hoping for future without individual change as "Trusting The Process". A process moulds and helps you learn in the process even when the results are far from evident yet. Trust the process but do not tarry in idle excess.

THE COST
I will pay the cost now.
Even if the cost is sleep.
Or the cost is pleasure.
Or the cost is comfort.
Or the cost is to let go.

The reward awaiting me I know
Is greater than the "now" gifts.
The reward awaiting me I know

Of men. I will pay the cost
So I can enjoy the joy of the cost.

The end starts from the beginning
But, "almost there" is not the end.
Your workings are prints of your moving steps.
The stumbles and scars are what
Makes the strivings a triumph to cherish.

Your stressed mind and body are your strivings.
They are being molded by you
To birth a transformation of newness.

Don't quit yet. I tell you in truth:
Your strivings will be your winnings.

THE OVERCOMER

His face is strewn in aches.
His eyes are sunken in stress.
His bones quiver in fatigue.
His words spew frailty and fatigue.

Yet, in all the throes of stress,
He will not cave in to the pain.
In all the full weakness in studying,
He won't forfeit his dreams.

While tasks roar arrows of stress
At his weakening bones, he will rise.
While others see smiles but he goes
Through pains, he'll rise and run.

He may be shaken but not shrunk.
He'll muster strength in all these to overcome.

A FORGIVING HEART

The hurts strike like needles.
The actions relive your mild mind
Only to pierce more gnawing needles.
Then, you wish all the pains to bind.
Yet, here they're showing you the smarts.

When you try to sleep, the images open up.
You bear the pains anew like a patient.
Then, you yelp "pass over me, this cup!"
Dear, be patient. I say be coolly patient.
How can I be when the heart is screaming?

All you need is to let go. Let go like the rain.
Allow His love and peace reign in you; then,
The pains will fade and you will then say:
"I have a forgiving heart. I am unburdened."
