I lost someone which I never had, and it hurts knowing that,
But it made me realize that people will quit on you everyday, reject you, leave you and will walk away,
Let them leave, and you live the way you want to,
Allow yourself to leave some pieces behind,
fall as many times as it takes, but never quit on yourself,
And always remember, we fall so that we can learn to pick ourselves up..

Maybe this year was good for you,
Or maybe it wasn't,
You may have got tremendous success somewhere
Or you may have experienced failure somewhere,
Maybe someone broke your heart, or you may have healed someone
Maybe you found few new friends or you may have lost one or two,

Last night I saw you,
I heard your voice
The song you sang to me,
When, I little barefoot girl
Knelt down against your knee

I wanted to sleep on your lap,
Your face is all I wanted to look at
Your heartbeat is all I care to listen to
Your touch is what makes me come to life

And tears gushed from my heart,
Those silent sobs were the loudest scream
And fountain reached through my throat
But was unable to stop it

Though I have learnt to wipe my own tears,
But these are the dark years of pain
Without you everything is faded
Wish if I could see you again.
