it’s been a while that I haven’t seen hot tasteless chai in green-lined cups it’s been a while that I haven’t been in sweet journeys with love lyric flux
it’s been a while that I haven’t walked empty streets with only the sunlight dancing on us it’s been a while that I haven’t touched your teary laughing eyes in the dusk
it’s been a while that I haven’t written and my words cuddle in layers of clothes
it’s been a while that I haven’t been too close and froze and posed my hands on my face and smile too much.
the birds are chirping there’s faint traffic bustle and little hint of rain in the loop of serenity a beam of light throws in making its way through the curtains the fan is given rest the door’s ajar lethargy hovers and it feels okay to gaze into the plain walls sans thoughts or worries and it feels okay to lie like a cocoon in the middle of the bed awake and alive well it feels okay like an october evening in the middle of a July day
Nobody is ready to believe that we parted. That was our power even while we fought Nobody is still able to receive that we won’t unite That is the power we still have Perhaps reposed in our poetries
Now we don’t fight At all We met in words Lets wait and see if the verses have the strength to carry us in their niche.
