I wonder & ask myself,
how have I been,
For you see it’s not easy
to let your heart be seen.
There were a few words
buried down there,
never meant for a conversation
I would share.
Perhaps, at times, you ought
to let your heart take the lead,
It helps unwind within and renders
The peace you badly need.

One of those days.

Today is one of those days
when I have fallen
short of words.
I feel like that faint sigh
of an eagle getting lost in the
clamour of unruly birds.
I have umpteen feelings
seething within, with the
want of voice for rescue,
But, somehow my muteness
and tendency to suppress has
halted the moving queue.
Why can’t we pick a dearest
part of our past and hold onto it
with no change and blemish,
For I cannot anymore force my soul
to be at peace with sombre nostalgia
and uncomfortable garnish.

Love, like a piece of paper
finds its own space to fly
and also rests in its own
piece of land.
You and I cannot force fit it,
for it needs to be fondled
by the heart and not just held by
a coerced fist of your hand.

Don’t strive to be a
favourite of your favourite.

Seek reciprocation, not imitation.

Jo chal raha hai use
badalna hai lekin nahi hai himmat,
Sab bina icha kare jaa rahe hai
Jismein na marzi hai na hi koi chahat.
Dil toh karta hai chunun khushi
aur kar lu aisi koi harkat,
Par bhale hi dil ho sahi,
dimaag nai ho raha sehmat.

Kaash aisa ho ki yeh
thama hua waqt
hum sabko theheraav sikha de.

wali ghadi mein hum khud ko
apna bheetar dikha de.

Kaash, hum apni satahi
uljhanon ko chod apne androoni
gucchon ko sulajha paaye,
Kaash, hum upari icchaaon
ke pare uth zindagi ke saare
chote-chote pal jee paaye.

Apnon ke liye hamesha tha
par na ban saka khud ka sahara,
Auron ke dukh bantne me itna mashgul
Ki kabhi khud ki sun hi na saka yeh dil bechara.

Little and More

If only you could
love a little more,
to live beyond what you are.
laugh a little hard,
to fade the worrisome scar.
care a little more,
to spread the good around.
Aim a little high,
to fly just above the ground.
feel a little more,
to clasp the calm in an ocean.
think a little deep,
to embrace the gift of emotion.
