खड़े हर तूफ़ान के सामने
हम हो गए,
शायद ये उसके होने का अहसास था
जो बिजलियों से भी हम
हँसकर मिल लिए,
न भय है अब किसी का
न ही आशंकाओं का अंधेरा है,
है साथ उसका नित निरंतर
इस विश्वास ने हमें समेट रखा है।

And slow afternoons,
Whisper gently
In her ears,
Of the dreams abandoned
For the work tiresome.

जो है दिल में छिपा
शब्दों में बताया नहीं जा सकता,
वो तो समीर सा है
जिसे हौले हौले अनुभव करे,
उसकी सुरभि फूलों सी है
जो अपने होने से जग सुवासित करे,
वो किसी कलम की स्याही सा है
जो नित भावों में अंगड़ाई लेता एक नया रूप धरे।

And suddenly her world was all about
His serene black orbs,
The ones that enchanted her heart
And calmed her soul.

दूरी ये हमारी,
जो बंद करूं नयन
तो अभी दिख जाती है
तेरी वो हँसी प्यारी,
आज भी ये हवाएँ
तेरे होने का अहसास लाती हैं,
तेरी सुरभि से महकाकर जीवन सारा
मेरे अंतर्मन को छू जाती हैं।

Makes his heart dread and shiver down the row.

कहो कभी खुल के भी,
दिल में छिपा जो दर्द है
पाओगे उसे हल्का ही,
माना विश्वास की आंच मद्धम है
पर चिंगारी वो बुझी तो नहीं,
कहीं तो मिलेगा कभी
जिससे कह सकोगे बिना किसी पर्दे के भी।

Walking through the fields
Feeling the wind,
She chased wildly
Against the endless dreams.

अब ख़ुश हो लेते हैं,
तेरे सपनों को समेटे
नित हम अब जीते हैं,
तेरी हँसी को यादकर
हम भी अब थोड़ा खिलखिलाते हैं,
जानते हैं आँसू मेरे तेरे दुख का कारण बनेंगे
इसलिए ही तो रोज एक मुखौटा पहन चले जाते हैं।

Yet just closing the eyes
And catching a glimpse
If the soul so dear,
Makes things brighter and better,
A wish of only if
A desire to meet,
The heart sleeps every night
With a yearning for a few more moments of togetherness to cherish.
