you and me, are there
down the hole
striving to rise above
to get the light of the sun
directly on our faces
to come out of darkness
to see the bright world
yet to find that old saying
come true, all the glitters
just have a golden hue
but we were together then
and we still are, keeps us
safe from whatever the odds
may be, we will stay put
