There's a difference between adjust and compromise-
Adjust is when there is a lesser space available than you require, but you fit in there.

Compromise is when there is enough space available for you, but you take lesser space so that someone else too get to sit!

Basically adjust is what you do for yourself,
Compromise is something that is done for others!
