When the term ‘women empowerment’ is justified,
And all the sacrifices of a women are glorified.
When the womens day is celebrated in true sense,
And pepper spray is no more required as a defence.
That day, wake me up!

When no hungry malnourished child is on the street,
And the government justifies every sufferer’s heartbeat.
When poverty and human trafficking is taken on A-list,
And concept of ‘rich getting richer’ ceases to exist.
That day, wake me up!

Wake me up when all I see is peace and harmony,
Where my existence is no more measured in money.
Wakeme up when I am done daydreaming,
Cause my heart is hopelessly beaming.
