चारो ओर रोशनी ही रोशनी फैली है,
फिर ये अँधेरा-अँधेरा सा क्यों रहता है !

कि खुशियाँ तमाम हैं खुश रहने को,
कि ये चेहरे पर उदासी क्यों रहती है !

जाने कितने जज्बात गूंजते हैं अन्दर ही अन्दर,
फिर भी होंठों पर ख़ामोशी क्यों रहती है !

कि अच्छी गुजरती है जिंदगी अकेलेपन मेें ही,
फिर ये किसी के साथ जीने की ख़्वाहिश क्यों रहती है !

एक ज़माना रहता है साथ में अपने,
फिर यूं दिल मेें कोई कमी-सी क्यों रहती है !!!
