The Kelp Forrest
Shafts of light penetrate an underwater salty forest
Where the submerged garden
Has borders filled and crafted by the oceans florist
Fishes of all sizes and colours glide and sail
Avoiding the predatorial teeth and claws that hide in the blue shadows
And dart out and take the prize without fail
A white crystal sandy floor that has never seen the footprint of man
Shifts and puffs with the warm swell of the ocean
A beautifully blue topography
Who's dramas evolve, happen and dissolve into the backdrop of serenity
This underwater World so peaceful but hostile in the way that it denies my stay
Lungs now at bursting point I penetrate surface tension
Wistfully wishing for gills
