I see the reflection

face is smiling

extending a hand

I befriend myself.

Every story has an end,
Whether poignant or sentimental,
Whether joyful or jovial,
Is eternal love just a story?

I exist,
On the periphery,
There, somewhere.

Not a voice,
To be heard or
To be counted.
Tired of being deaf and dumb,
Trying to fit in,
Deciphering the thread of conversation,
My voice blabbers,
Hitting the wall,
It returns.

I prefer,
web of imagination,
Where,
I listen to myself,
I speak unceasing,
Undisturbed,
I wait for the sleep to take over.

Till the day begins.....

Those voices
Shouting with glee and
Unbridled joy.

Thumping of legs
To match the drums.
Tri colour waving with pride,
Trumpeting the arrival of thee.

Eyes wet with tears of joy
Of men in Blue and congregation too.
Fireworks in the sky
And honking of the cars
Dancing on the rooftops
And soulful songs to show the love.

How joyfully the nation unites
For the eternal love they share.

The house of cards,
Fragile, tottering,
Holding each other,
Dependent so,
And yet,
A gentle nudge,
Makes them tumble.

An extended hand,
Of helping kind,
Makes them unite,
In a pack so tight,
To rise again,
And again, and again,
At each recurring falls.

As the day ended,
I pondered and wondered,
How did the day pass ?
What would the next day bring?

I looked out of the window,
Moon resting on his side,
Gently questions, why worry?
Look at me. I wane and rise,
Life goes on,
Take all in your stride,
You too shall rise.

Twinkling stars nodded in affirmation.

Of the bygone year
On first Monday of each new year.

One tries to take all in stride,
But there will be days and there will be days.

On some glorious days all will seem right
On others you will wish for the night to fall.

On some days you will count your blessings,
On others you will search for solace.

Blessings and woes go hand in hand,
Relentless, one Monday to another.
So prepare yourself my gal for things to come.

Days of pleasure and days of pain,
And experience I gain,
Are treasures I cherish,
To ponder in solitude.

Reasons and explanations,
About life I lead,are mine to explore,
Why sould I make it known,
It is for me to ponder over in solitude.

Answers remain hidden,
questions explode,
One corner of my mind remain occupied,
 To ponder over in solitude.

Whirlpool of my thoughts suck me in,
Pulling me in its vortex,
To debate and ponder in solitude.

 I rest there.

Day to remember..

Camera Panned, Tension mounted,
Could I deliver,question paramount.

Why did I agree,to be part of this milieu?
What made me do it,when stacks were against it?

Trying out unknown,chasing a whim,
Why did I surrender, to someone's dream?

Day passed by in a motion blur,
Part acted out in a dazed stupor.

Cacophony around,went unheard,
Evening arrived,pack up announced.

Body relaxed and mind relieved,
Energy returned to my tired feet.

What did I gain, mind whirled,
Experience pocketed and friends made.

Story of my life gets one more facet.
