As the night stretches longer and longer, I lose my patience.
Ever thought about it?
What if this one night, never reinstates?
This perfect alignment of the skyline.
The luminescent incandescent stars.
The people you see tonight...
The conversations.
What if none of it were to remit tomorrow?
What if every conversation you have tonight, is your last one?
Did you make it momentous and special enough?
Did you make her feel special today?
Did you compliment him for his beautiful smile as you made eye contact?
Did YOU feel anything in return?
What if it's your last meal on the family dining table?
Did you leave out the green vegetables today as well?
Did you compliment her for the beautiful platter she spread tonight?
Did she smile?
What if it's the last time you're thinking about that special person before sleeping in the hope of something?
How does it feel?
I don't know...
With no answer, I again return back to reality. Everytime. Thinking again.
This particular night.
This perfect night...
And I smile.
Cause maybe, just maybe it's not my last one...

The horizon is indeed a lie,
a beautiful one at it, though.
When the sky bows down
to meet the sea, his beau,
a noble act of love, innit?
Unlike the urban skyline
where buildings soar
in vain to reach the sky.
A falsehood taken seriously.
Yes, nature lied to us
about the distant horizon.
So we build a towering lie?
The horizon has set me
on voyages to the beyond.
The skyline has merely
dwarfed me to a blatant lie.

But there are places that always grow and never recede, despite the glimmering skylines.
