You can not mourn the passing of a family member with positive vibes. You can not undo a career setback by listening to some motivational speech. You can not deal with a post breakup trauma by thinking positively. There's nothing more toxic than the notion of acting positively regardless of what happens in your life. There's no shame in admitting that you're not doing well.

It's not rocket science. When something bad happens to you, you're supposed to feel bad about it. You may have to cry sitting in a corner, you may have to be silent for a few months, you may have to scrap your usual daily fitness routine and gain a few pounds. The point is that you have to be someone other than who you used to be, to be able to handle an adverse turn of events.

Hey, the app is great but the quality of poetry on this app is awful. Not to sound snobbish but most people here sound more pretentious than anything. I don't know what you vision you had in mind when you started this but trying to find a good poem, forget a poet, is, for the lack of a better metaphor, looking for a needle in a haystack.
