When people say they're afraid of being plagiarised, I share the story of my most famous work, my pinned post on YourQuote, originally written way back in 2013:

Hundreds of people have plagiarised it across social media, including on YourQuote. I never bothered. I could have gotten it deleted on YourQuote but frankly I don't care. I instead focussed my energy on writing and continued to post each of my work in public. And soon, a beautiful thing started to happen. My readers started pointing it out to those who plagiarised. That it's my quote. I remembered how whenever someone plagiarises Gulzar on social media, he doesn't bother and I, like many of his fans, have fought on his behalf, asking the copycat to delete or credit Gulzar. All the while, Gulzar just kept on doing one thing: writing.

When you truly serve writing, you don't have to fight battles for credit. Your army of readers do that for you. You have to fight the bigger battle: the battle to keep writing originally.
