MY NOVEMBER GHAZAL

Plenty of warm welcomes & some really sad farewells in November.
Festivals over, not many guests ring the doorbells in November.

Himachali apples have been plucked, packaged & sent across India.
All the major highways are permeated with its smell in November.

As winter nears, blankets are stuffed with grandma's stories.
It's time to make novels out of the stories one tells in November.

Hopeless, I read the resolution to run languishing in my diary.
2019 is not over. A marathon awaits for me to excel in November.

Friends ask me, are you too gonna not shave this month, Harsh?
With only beard for company, what else to keep well in November?
