Beyond the blanket and the light

There must be a place beyond the minimal light.
Which the blanket of darkness would fail to find.
I see pictures and idols of our worldly Deitie's and God's.
With dimly lit eyes, they seem meditating on some thought.
I need to enter and capture that very thought.
I'm sure, if I reach there, there will be only acceptance
As that place, I believe,
will be free from judgment and thoughts.

Where do you live God?
In pain?
Why don't I find you in living daylight?
We sin, why are you ashamed?
Are you too a traveller of this sorrow forest?
Where hurting is a sport.
You created imperfection;
That's the best you did.
Were we perfect,
Your creation would have no name!

I know the butterfly who knows her plight
She who turns the wretched darkness into bright light
She's a marvel of delight who sways to make me forget the night
