She inhumed her anguish in the superficiality of her perfectly sculpted mask which she vowed never to remove. The Mask with a static smile and chiselled features which hid her pain so deep that it was even deeper for the wisest eyes to find it and for the world, she became an epitome of happiness.

Her childhood turned into a responsibility when they forcibly made her walk down the aisle. while she caressed her newborn, the child within her died prematurely.

Dying is an art,
like everything else,
i do it exceptionally well.
each day, each night,
A part of me
slowly fading away.
with your memories
strangulating me
every second
suffocating
me to death itself.
I have mastered the
art of dying.
I have learnt to
rekindle a dead soul
within a lifeless form.
for I do it everyday
and now death feels
like home.

you called her outdated.
She wore a skirt,
you called her characterless.
She wore shorts,
you called her slut.
Ironically, both you and her
were women..
