we are trapped
inside the asylum
of our own
story.

still we write
about being free,
and cages.

never realising,
home can never
be a metaphor
when the whole
poetry vanished
through the
windows.

It's written on the wall for all to see
Not every river wishes to merge into the sea
Some meander away drawing their
own shapes of glory
Bending the line to flow their names into history.

My personal milestone is to identify who are my well-wishers and who are just pretenders.

Some like my words

गुमनाम हूँ मैं बेनाम नहीं
लो आज से अपनी पहचान यही
एक शांत सुबह का साग़र हूँ
कल उठेगा जिसमें तूफ़ान कही।

तू मुस्कुराले चाहे जितना
मैं पसीनें से प्यास बुझाऊंगा
बनेगा छाला मोती जिसदिन
मैं उसदिन नायब कहलाऊंगा।

हर सोच में मौज के रंग समाये
हुए जन्म-जात से लोग पराये
बादल से निकली रिमझिम बरखा
आँख का पानी आँसू कहलाये।

संगीत है साधक सारथी मन का
अफवाहों में क्या रखा है?
दिन ढलने पर ख़ामोशी सुनना
की कैसे हर सूर सजता है।

We have only one identity, we are human
And we must not forget our humanity

Khud ko mita ke mai to, Mai tujhme kho rha hun..

خود سا رہا نہ میں تو، میں تجھ سا ہو رہا ہوں
خود کو مٹا کے میں تو، میں تجھ میں کھو رہا ہوں

A Peculiar Journey

I hid amongst the humans
I expected it to be easy
All I needed was an identity
I grew pathetic body parts too
To look more like them
