Collected some from the yard.

A hailstorm has struck
with lightening and thunder
excited for the first shower
I run for the hailstones under
despite of the heavy rain
picking them up in wonder
trying to hold too many
in my hands tiny and tender
but as I turn to count, I see
they have lost all splendour
leaving in my now wet palms
only plain water to render
