To " Medusa "
Thou art not celestial nymph
Among Gorgons only mortal,
Ah, what a rueful fate!
Must be a design-dupe of immortals.
A grotesque or fierce evil!
What should I call thee?
Being cursed by Athena
Possessed by the lord of sea.
A horrid creature thou became
For men to terrify,
And in a glance
Having power to petrify.
Long after the son of Zeus
In obstruce journey of quest ,
With the help of immortals
Beheaded thee in haste.
Art thou die in vain?
With thy hideous head ,
Atlas, Cetus were conquered
And, Perseus became legend.

From the labyrinth that I am,
I fly high and fall deep,
I am my own Icarus always.
-Kartikeya-
You were destined for something great,
But I knew I wasn't meant to be with you.
My fate was written a long time ago,
And it was from none other than you.
When my curse was fulfilled,
You were the one who mourned the most.
You worshipped my sprite and loved my cadaver.
You looked upon my soul when I was lost.
Even when you were the one who made sure
my destiny must deliver.

To Antinous
Thou art not merely a Theos
But a legendary heros of time,
The rueful fate of thy life
Can be heard through this rhyme.
The philomel from Antinopolis
Did tell thy melancholy yarn,
Exquisite beauty thou possessed
The king Hadrian did yearn.
Thy story of eromenos love
In history may be hidden,
A taboo; may be in ancient age
And still today is forbidden.
What hath made thee to sacrifice?
Only Nile may know thy pain,
And with tears in those eyes
Philomel ceases her strain.
