When we first met, I knew I had fazed you. What you didn't know that it was assumed bravado, a showpiece, a mask donned to hide my acute shyness. Yet I felt an affinity that is hard to describe. I felt it as many others have felt it. It could have been the age-old search of an introvert for an extrovert. It could have been a diffident seeking confidence. I don't know. What I do know that I changed in that moment. Changed in a way that scares me even today. My metamorphosis is still not complete, for it is not just mine. It feels like a blending of minds, of souls.
