From the generation that
grew up knowing "fair and lovely"
to the generation that now
fights racism- we grew.
Or rather we outgrew
ignorance.

The propagation of the idea of unattractiveness of dark & dusky skin has infiltrated generations upon generations. The colonial genesis is not as much responsible as our own blind consumerism & imitation. I feel good that the floodgates have opened & people are taking. It doesn't matter that it happened because of the worst perpetrators of the crime itself.

I was in a general medical store,
waiting in the queue for my turn.
A lady ahead of me,
Asked the shopkeeper for the "Fair and Lovely" Cream.
A small cute girl, maybe she was her daughter
Immediately said, "Fair and Lovely" ,
And had a giggle.
This little angel must have recognized the cream because of the famous ads on TV. These ads are everywhere.
"Fair and Lovely"
It struck me.
Unknowingly, what values are we giving ourselves ?
Is "Fair = Lovely"?
This cream is basically racism in a tube.
Fair is not lovely,
Being fair to everyone? That's Lovely.

Sirf, Fair and lovely ka naam change karnese racial discrimination khatam nahi hogi doston......
Gore pan ke khumar se, apne hi logo k sawle pan ka mazzak uddane wale " Social media par #blacklivesmatter, #everylivesmatter" laga kar cool ban ne ki dhoong karna band karo.....
Lagana hain # toh apne dilo dimag par lagao.... Ye racial discrimination kya cheez hai, zamana bhool jayegi!!!!
