As I remember my childhood,
I feel saudade for days so good.
When I was in my cosy nest,
Full of energy, had a great zest.

When mom hugged tight,
When peaceful were nights,
Evenings were breezy
and slumber was easy.

When it was easy to ask,
When all I did was just bask,
Had no major monotonous task,
and was real without any mask.

When parents weren't old,
When I was fiercely bold,
My needs were very limited,
But, happiness truly unlimited.
