बादल, जैसे ख़ुद ही आवारा बन।
ख़ुश हो लेता, मनमर्जिया नज़ारा बन।
तेरे संग हर रस्म भी,
मैं निभा, हस लेता ऐसे हीं।

सुना है आज तुम्हारे शहर में
बड़ी बारिश हुई

लगता है मेरे मन पर छाए काले बादल जो छ्टे हैं
अपने होने की वजह ढूंढते ढूंढते
तुम तक पहुँच ही गये

स्याही को कागज़ मिला, बादल को आसमान
जिसकी जितनी वेदना, उतने उसके गान

Roaring clouds across the sky
Tell us that monsoon 's here
Dark and floating clouds then
Pour rain drops everywhere.
Clouds make lightening
Flash overhead and irrigate feilds
with rain
Clouds make earth, its fragrance
Spread when wet with drop of rain.
Rising from the earth to ocean vast
Clouds fill up with rain
Rain to ocean, back at last
To meet with ocean again !

I look up
and there's a single obstinate star
shining away
on a cloudy night.
And I smile. I'm home.

You are afar,
Perched on the moon;
On the sly, behind
The amorphous mass of cloud.
And I, somehow
Caught a glimpse of you,
Before the clouds
Could eclipse you.
Your so-so sight
In the moonlit night,
Allured me to cross,
The space and time.
And in a flash,
The moon looked full;
Unclouded,
At its peak of luminescence;
The stars glimmered,
Paving my path to thee;
As if the universe
Conspired to coalesce
Two perpetual lovers;
I and thee.

Smoke rises from the palms
Of my burnt, wounded hands,
As raindrops kiss the skin,
Rising up, forming foggy clouds,
Greying the burning bright blues.

Had I not plucked those stars,
From the sleepless night skies,
Hiding them inside my chest,
How would have I gifted you,
These salt and pepper skies!

for your face
among clouds,
Forgetting
Rainbows
don't appear
everyday
