एक अजीब सा Joker बन गया हूँ
जो ना तेरा हो सका,
ना ही Circus का...

तू जहाँ आया है, वो तेरा घर नहीं, गाँव नहीं, गली नहीं, कूचा नहीं, रस्ता नहीं, बस्ती नहीं, दुनिया है!
और प्यारे, दुनिया यह एक सरकस है और इस सरकस में बड़े को भी, छोटे को भी, खरे को भी, खोटे को भी, मोटे को भी, पतले को भी, नीचे से ऊपर को, ऊपर से नीचे को बराबर आना-जाना पड़ता है।

Problems huge as elephants,
Time fast as cheetah,
Courage small as an ant,
Humans dumb as clowns,
Vociferating like a cannon,
Still hoping to be a ringmaster.

You may sketch
out a perfect tomorrow
on the parchment
fragment of destiny
you hold so close.

Circus spirited,
On this worldly stage,
No monkeys of mine,
Yet dressed as ringmaster,
With tongue so mean,
And ice cold heart,
Dripping fresh poison each day,
Born sick to love than live,
Worshipping your shrine,
Buried beneath your sins,
Watching a circus,
That never belonged to my blood.
