And a locker full of single-pair shoes.
An unlikely optimist, I leave my calling cards--
Sometimes a left shoe, sometimes a right--
At parties, I turn up at work
In mismatched sandals, but hey,
They say, all's fair in love and war.
But the price of battle is two pence
Too much and now I'm out of space, money and patience.

I swore to let go and accept that
Amphibians cannot morph into suitable boys.

Before I throw the frogs out?-

ditch the glass slippers for flip flops
and dance
as if there's no midnight.-
